More than a destination, an experience for the entire family!

Now under new ownership, and with the addition of the Family Fun Park, Balmichael Centre is quickly becoming one of Arran’s premiere visitor attractions again. It’s a place where the whole family can come and spend the entire day, or just pop in for a couple hours so the kids can play, get some nice food, and maybe pick up something at the shops.

Real People. Real Support. Real Love.

Our philosophy is to treat you as we would like to be treated. And our mission is to create a place where you and your family can enjoy each other’s company whilst having some fun. We’re still under construction, but every day we’re making strides and the feedback we’re getting proves we’re on the right track!

Recently reopened, it offers a fun day for kids and will offer more soon as new things are added. You can have a basic day pass which means access to the huge bouncy pillows, go karting, sand pit, and play park. If you want to use the high jumping pole or the outdoor ice rink ( yes really!), it’s extra. They’re just opening a new cinema too which will be great for the ever changing Scottish weather. The cafe offers great but simple food with an American twist. The new owners are so lovely…very friendly and love a wee chat. I recommend a visit!

While cycling round I popped in on Sunday morning. The centre wasn’t quite open but I still had a very warm welcome from the owner and the Zorse! This place is an amazing asset to Arran which is just going to get better and better. The current activities include the climby jumpy thingy, a massive inflatable bouncy pillow, and Arran’s only cinema! The vision and ethos of the centre is spot on if you take time to appreciate it. The cafe is worth a visit and while you refresh yourself take time to admire the floor and furnishings made from recycled pallets. We were told about the plans for the centre and I can’t wait to see it flourish into an all round family adventure centre. Good luck to James and his family and thank you for your hospitality.
